California towns tackle puppy mills

California towns are continuing to trend toward banning sales of puppies and kittens in pet stores, in an effort to combat puppy mills and kitten factories. The latest council to propose such a ban is the town of Hermosa Beach.

If passed, L.A. Unleashed reports, Hermosa Beach would be the third town in California to ban pet store sales of cats and dogs. West Hollywood and South Lake Tahoe were the first to adopt these measures.
